Set in one of Randwick's quiet, established streets, this home is a study in comfort achieved through discipline — a passive house built not to shout its credentials, but simply to feel right, every day of the year.
Vaulted ceilings lined in timber rise overhead, drawing light down through a beautifully placed skylight and giving even the smallest rooms a sense of air and ease. Polished concrete floors run underfoot, cool and grounding, holding warmth from the sun through the cooler months and staying cool through summer without ever needing to try.
Getting the performance right took a village — architect, builder and passive house consultant working in step from the first sketch, so that airtightness and orientation could sit quietly behind the design rather than in front of it. The result is a home that breathes with the seasons: naturally lit, naturally tempered, and never at odds with how it wants to be lived in.
Timber joinery and considered built-in details soften every corner, while high ceilings and an open plan let the whole home feel generous without being grand. It's a house that proves performance and beauty were never mutually exclusive — just a matter of the right team getting it right.
